Morton Paglin Headshot MORTON PAGLIN received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley where he held teaching and research positions. He was a Ford Faculty Fellow at the London School of Economics and held visiting appointments at Case Western University and Stanford. He was an economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and a consultant onĀ household Income statistics and poverty measures at the U.S. Census Bureau. He helped established a new doctoral program in Urban Studies atĀ Portland State University (Oregon) where he was a Professor of Economics for over 25 years.

Later in life he wore two hats—as an economist, and as a playwright. Four of his plays have had full productions, staged readings, or both.
